Studying Abroad

Studying abroad has never been easier than it is today. European universities accept students from the European Union under the same conditions as their own, giving you a choice of hundreds of universities and thousands of different fields of study. Completing a full degree, whether bachelor’s or master’s, allows you to earn a diploma with international prestige that will open many career doors in the future.

Griffith College

Griffith College is the largest private higher education institution in Ireland, with campuses in Dublin, Cork, and Limerick. At the fair, it will showcase its bachelor’s and master’s programs in areas such as design, business, psychology, media, and IT.

TU Dublin

One of the largest universities in Dublin will present primarily its Tourism and Hospitality Management programs. However, you can choose from hundreds of other fields. Their modern campuses in the heart of Dublin feature the latest facilities and excellent student support.

Haarlem Campus

Are you interested in fields like Business Psychology or Creative Media? Explore Haarlem Campus — a modern, newly opened university of applied sciences near Amsterdam. One of the advantages of studying at Haarlem Campus is guaranteed on-campus accommodation, which is truly rare in the Netherlands!

Fontys University of Applied Sciences

Fontys University of Applied Sciences is one of the Dutch universities that focuses much more on practical experience than on academic theory. At Go-Global, it will showcase programs mainly in IT, Technology, and Health.

Coventry University (United Kingdom/Poland)

British Coventry University offers bachelor’s and master’s programs in various fields, both in the UK and at its new campus in Wrocław, Poland. There, you can study selected programs at reduced tuition fees and without the need for a student visa.

Solent University

Solent University in Southampton, England, excels particularly in arts and creative fields. Their range of bachelor’s and master’s programs in design, arts, and creative communication is extensive. Among the most popular programs at this university are Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Popular Music Performance, Game Design, Interior Design, and Film and Media Production.

TU Clausthal

It fosters strong collaboration between academia and the private sector, focusing on the development of a circular economy. Its top-quality study programs attract a diverse student body, with over 40% coming from more than 100 countries. TU Clausthal emphasizes practical application, student support, and societal engagement. It is committed to shaping a sustainable future in the context of climate change and digitalization.

SRH Berlin University of Applied Sciences

The Berlin-based university of applied sciences will present bachelor’s and master’s programs in business, marketing and communications, music, film, and IT. A major advantage of studying at this school is that you don’t have to pay tuition fees — a secure student loan is available, which you only repay if you earn enough in the future.

ILAC

The International Language Academy of Canada has nearly 20 years of experience in education and is one of the most prestigious private schools in Canada. Popular programs include Marketing and Sales. The school focuses on practical education and has campuses in Vancouver and Toronto.

In your free time, you can enjoy the world’s largest bike park and the Olympic ski resort Whistler-Blackcomb.

Aarhus University

Denmark’s Aarhus University is ranked among the top 100 universities in the world. For bachelor’s studies, it is especially popular for its Economics and Business programs on the Aarhus and Herning campuses. Those interested in master’s studies can choose from several dozen programs, ranging from business and natural sciences to international relations and the humanities.

Work Abroad

Work experience abroad is not only a great addition to your resume, but also a way to explore the world and visit places most Czechs can only dream of. Through a work opportunity abroad, you become more independent, learn to rely on yourself, and make connections with people from all over the world.

Improving your English and other languages comes naturally, as do earnings that are hard to achieve with part-time jobs in the Czech Republic.

“Work = work, travel = travel” — that’s what the Work and Travel program in the USA is all about. During your summer break at university or college, you can go to the USA, work for up to 17 weeks, earn money for initial expenses, and at the end of the break, travel and explore the beauty of the United States.

The Working Holiday Canada program (Work in Canada) allows you to gain valuable work experience, improve your language skills, experience Canadian culture, and travel.

The visa for this program lets you live, work, and travel in Canada for one year. This visa can only be obtained once in a lifetime, and the number available for Czech citizens is limited.

Ireland, with its capital Dublin, is an ideal destination for anyone who wants to improve their English, enjoy a unique local culture, add an interesting reference to their resume, and earn some money, perhaps for further travel across Europe.

The Work in Greece program allows Czechs and Slovaks to gain valuable work experience in this popular destination. If you want to work in a luxury hotel right by the beach, spend your days off on the beach or traveling around the Greek islands, meet people from all over the world, and improve not only your English, this program is perfect for you.

You can work in Halkidiki or on the islands of Corfu or Kos in one of the luxury hotel chain’s properties. These are tourist-favorite destinations full of beautiful sandy beaches, historic sites, and tavernas where you can enjoy amazing Greek cuisine.

The program includes various positions in German-speaking countries, which besides Germany also include Austria and even northern Italy. Some positions require knowledge of German, while for others basic skills are enough. You can choose from different destinations, from seaside jobs to positions in the Alps. And if you prefer city life, you can opt for Berlin, a city popular with young people from all over the world.

The Work in Spain program allows Czechs and Slovaks to gain valuable international experience in this sunny destination. If you want to combine work, sunbathing on the beach, and endless Spanish fiestas, this program is perfect for you.

You can spend the summer in Catalonia, Mallorca, or at a beach hotel in the Valencia area. During your stay, you’ll meet people from all over the world, spend your days off on the beach, and improve not only your English and Spanish thanks to the diverse international clientele.

What to do when things don’t go according to plan

When everything goes according to plan, traveling seems easy. But what happens when complications arise and your whole trip suddenly takes a different direction? Hear how to deal with a flat tire on a rental car in Spain, what to do if your visa to Vietnam doesn’t arrive on time and you get stuck in Malaysia, or how to handle a canceled flight in Rome when you need to be in Ireland the next day. Learn all about travel fails and the lessons they teach in Zuzka Zvěřová’s lecture “What Travel Fails Taught Me.”

If you want cakes, you have to bake them yourself. If you want plane tickets, you have to earn the money. Nothing will just fall into your lap. But how do you manage that while studying? You have to get a part-time job. Sarah Horáková had to go through this path too, even though it wasn’t always easy. Now she is living her dream — sometimes facing setbacks, but that’s part of it. How Sarah handles it all will be revealed in her lecture “No Work, No Reward.”

From zero to one million Czech crowns — that is the range of annual tuition fees at universities in Europe today. Curious where you can study for free? Are universities with million-crown tuition really worth it? Wondering how to get a scholarship, a government loan, or even get paid for studying abroad? You will learn all of this in this lecture.

At 15, Eliška Janoušová went to Texas to attend high school, which she says was the best thing her parents could have given her. After returning, she earned an engineering degree from the University of Economics in Prague and began focusing on travel and digital content. Today, she inspires tens of thousands of people on Instagram and her blog with her travel content. In 2021, she also founded the successful travel mobile app Placehunter, which showcases the most beautiful places in Europe. In her lecture, she will share what studying at a Texas high school was like, what this year gave and took from her, and how it helped shape who she is today.

Getting into great schools abroad doesn’t have to be as hard as it may seem at first. We’ll share some tips and tricks that could allow you to start at one of the world’s top 100 universities as early as September 2024 — even if your grades aren’t perfect and you haven’t considered studying abroad before.

Filip Ouroda, a Czech teacher, traveler, and volunteer, will share his travel experiences volunteering in countries such as Uganda, Cambodia, Vietnam, Bolivia, and more. He will also give you travel tips and hacks he has used during his journeys.
