Zuzana Zvěřová: What travel fails have taught me

When everything goes according to plan, traveling seems like a breeze. But what if complications arise and suddenly the whole vacation goes in a different direction? You will hear how to deal with a flat tire on a rental car in Spain. What to do if your Vietnam visa does not arrive on time and you are stuck in Malaysia. Or how to deal with a canceled flight in Rome when you have to be in Ireland the next day. You will hear all about travel fails and lessons learned from them in Zuzka Zvěřová’s lecture „What travel fails have taught me“.

Filip Hrubý: My life in Dublin: A combination of education, career and culture

Filip, a student and mentor for Czech-us students in Ireland, will primarily talk about the combination of studying at an Irish university, working and social life in the heart of Ireland: Dublin. He will talk about starting a new life in a foreign country, starting university, how he manages to juggle his school and work responsibilites, and last but not least, about his extracuricular activities. There will be time for any questions at the end of the presentation.

Well, you have to take on part-time jobs. Sarah Horáková also had to walk this path, although it was not always easy. Now she’s living his dream – sometimes with some setbacks, but that’s part of it. The important thing is to get the most out of life. How Sarah manages all this, she will tell you in her lecture „No pain, no gain“.

Jan Augusta: A man of dual nature: a journey from policeman to bartender in Cyprus

The life story of a man who decided to fulfill one of his lifelong dreams of traveling and living abroad. After 7 years of working for the police, which affected his character a lot, and after the publication of his first book, he finally paid off the debt to himself after 10 years. Thanks to his work experience in Cyprus, he found himself again and thus found a life balance. Now he wants to encourage to those who also want to travel.

Zuzana Hellerová, Discover.sk: Where to study and where to tackle culture shock? Experiences from the West and developing countries

Since she was little, Zuzka dreamed of studying and working abroad one day. After high school, she was the only one from her graduating class who managed to go study an academic field abroad. Since August 2018, when she started her bachelor’s degree in the Netherlands, she has managed to study and work in Italy, Switzerland and Cambodia. Zuzka will guide you through her foreign experiences – she will share what each country gave her, what surprised her and what she learned from them. You will find out why she considers the Netherlands a TOP study destination, what it is like to live and work in a developing country, and how to cope with culture shock and adaptation in a new environment. Come and learn why it makes sense to study and work abroad and discover the world!

Eliška Janoušová: Studying in the US - a priceless experience

At the age of 15, Eliška Janoušová went to Texas to study high school, which she says is the best thing her parents could have ever given her. After returning, she received a master’s degree from the University of Economics in Prague and started creating travel & digital content. Today, she inspires tens of thousands of people on Instagram and on her blog with her travel content. In 2021, she also founded the successful mobile app Placehunter, where she collects the most beautiful places in Europe. In her lecture, she will reveal all about her studies at a Texas high school, what this year gave her and how it propelled her to where she is today.

Přemysl Piskač: Language schools and summer schools: Study languages in the environment that inspires you!

Come improve your foreign languages ​​with us in the type of course that suits you.
